ABOUT THE BOOK

At fifty-two years old, Jared Montgomery has spent many years single and chasing after women. But now he believes he’s been called by God to change his ways and lead a more spiritual life—no more fornication, no more adultery. The successful son of a widowed mother, he wants to set a good example for his twenty-four-year-old son, Donny—even though he struggles to give up the ways of the world.

Meanwhile, a series of murders rocks Jared’s community and church. The victims are mostly elderly women who have one thing in common: they committed adultery with the same man many years earlier. As the murders get closer and closer to the people in Jared’s life, he must face the inevitable truth that he has personal ties to the violent crimes. But only time will reveal the ultimate price that he and his loved ones will pay.
